Biography
ZOOLOOK® is the creative identity of Nicholas Da Silva, a multidisciplinary artist, filmmaker, and musician whose work brings together music, cinema, animation, graphic art, photography, and storytelling.
Working across sound and image, ZOOLOOK creates original music and visual worlds that move between genres and mediums. His work includes the science-fiction music and film series STONEFRENGE™, the supernatural graphic novel and film property Dread & Alive™, and HITLESS™, alongside an independent catalog of original music released through ZOOLOOK® Records.
His creative career also extends into independent media. Da Silva founded IRIE™ Magazine in 2013 and created ReelTV™, platforms developed to showcase music, film, artists, and independent creative voices. His background in graphic design, web development, photography, filmmaking, animation, and music production informs an approach in which the visual identity, sound, story, and presentation of a project are conceived as parts of a unified experience.
As ZOOLOOK, Da Silva writes, composes, produces, directs, animates, designs, and develops his work independently, maintaining creative control across disciplines. His music has received international radio support, including multiple selections by filmmaker and broadcaster Don Letts on BBC Radio 6 Music.
Based in San Francisco, ZOOLOOK continues to develop interconnected music, film, and visual storytelling projects through ZOOLOOK® and ZOOLOOK® Records.
